I'm going to Melb from Perth for the Aus day weekend, fly out on The Thursday. The airfare and accom has cost me more than the airfare and 10 nights accom in Bali (March), plus I get transfers and breakfast in Bali. When I get to Melb I will hire a car (no driver) and will have to pay heaps for breaky! It works out to be 25% more for 3 nights in Melb than 10 nights in Bali, and they wonder why people prefer to go O/S for holidays
