i met a hotel worker who owned a small market business where his wife worked, and lived with extended family on land they owned.
I was invited to his home. Here i found very basic family accommondation, plus 4 rooms with ensuite bathrooms they rented to tourists.
Rich by many Balinese standards but would i buy them a meal? If they'd given me the chance, why not? They certainly shared what they had with me and were a very hard working and frugal family.
However i get what you are saying that you'd like to help where the need is greatest and in that case i suggest you look at helping the Rotary Club, or The Helen Flavel org, or SOS , all of which are mentioned on this forum if you do a search.
Onya lou :)
