Flasks have been in AC labs for 6-9 months while growing on so no problem if you buy any time before you leave. Important that they have a diffuse light for at least 8 hours a day while waiting - if in dark leaves will go pale and weak and if sun direct on flask the plants will cook. When you get home also no rush to deflask, they can stay several months more in the bottle. If getting home in cold season may be better to keep growing in the flask in warm area and then deflask in warmer weather.
