Only for the Forum, I wouldn't have known my flight out of Melbourne was pushed out to the next day (thank you to the person who advised us on the forum, can't remember your call name). I rang Jetstar and they said that the flight was delayed until 8.10am the next day but knew nothing else. She advised me that I would be given all the information at check-in.

Got to the self serve kiosk and it wouldn't accept my itinery number, so I lined up to check-in. Then we were told that we were on the wrong line. I was then taken to the correct line by a Jetstar employee and told to line up again, to which I said no, I want to be served now as I had already lined up twice once for the kiosk and once for the check-in.

I asked what was going on with the connecting flight and the Qantas person said 'we cannot access Jetstar's system' and that we should be advised on board. Guess what? Didn't happen!

Got to Melbourne airport and were totally lost. Went to the first Jetstar information desk I saw and was given totally incorrect information as I found out when I went to the second information desk.

They said that our luggage was checked straight through to Denpasar and that they were trying to find it. By this time myself and my daughter had turned into about 12 people all as confused as us. One of the guys said that our luggage was going around and around the carosel, so we all went down and got it. I went to the room where they were all discussing this and told them that we found our luggage and was told 'that's lucky' well done!

They gave us accomadation at the Holiday Inn and gave us $16 worth of food vouchers to spend at the airport. The Holiday Inn staff are very nice and efficient. They checked us in, arranged a wake up call and a transfer to the terminal with our bags for all of us within 15 minutes. They also advised us of the Sky Bus into town and we spent the day wandering around Melbourne, this was nice to do as my daughter has never been to Melbourne.

After its all said and done, Holiday Inn Staff are fantastic, The Jetstar Company as a whole, I wouldn't feed, let alone travel with them again. Having said that my mate got us tickets for May at $387 return when the specials came out. Only for that price I would tell him to cancel and re-book with Garuda.

Well that's my whinge for the day, however, I know many people were asking about Jetstar experiences and that's mine.

Thing is, I haven't boarded a Jetstar Plane yet.

Bali, hopefully tomorrow!!!

Regards,

Dave
