We left from Brisbane on Dec 10 and although there was some confusion as we thought we were flying Jetstar from Bris-Syd we found we were flying Qantas. Our luggage was checked in at Qantas, Brisbane and it was on-forwarded to our Jetstar Bali flight.
We did have ample time to duty free shop in Sydney but on our return we did miss our connecting flight to Brisbane as there was not enough time allowed to clear customs. We were then checked into the next scheduled flight.
We found the service on Jetstar far superior than that of the Qantas connecting flights. The Jetstar planes are new and naturally of far cleaner appearance and also the seating comfort was also better.
We had no problem with luggage leaving Bali and although we had considerable hand luggage (much more than 7kg), it was not weighed. A friend of ours that flew back the night before with Jetstar was 6kg over in luggage(not hand luggage) and was charged $15 per kg over.
Although we didn't buy food on the flight other passengers considered it to be ok for "airline food".
We didn't bother hiring a digi player as the in flight video was quite good. The feature movie on the way over was Boytown and on the return, Kenny.
Both flights were about 95% full.
We would have no hesitation flying with them again (we are going back in May). Hope this helps. Ken
