I always take about 5 kilos of lamb, (ie, chops, boned leg roasts etc), for a friend who lives there as the only lamb they get there is NZ stuff and he prefers aussie stuff, (who wouldn't???).
I always freeze it, the butcher vacumn packs it,and it stays frozen as it is in my main luggage in the cargo hold then I get it delivered to his place and a freezer quickly.
not sure how you would go if it seems to be commercial quantities tho, I always say it is for a gift, which it is !
