& when you get tkts or visit the Coinsulate, wou should dress appropriately like you would at home to attend something like getting drivers license, passport info etc, etc!

I was do a visa run a number of yrs back & I met an expat whom was doing a visa run too & she had a singlet top on & we landed at Surabaya had to go outside of the airport to enter the other side to board to go to Singapore, I asked her if she had a sarong or something esp as we were having to walk outside the Surabaya airport & she didnt, I watched men & women spit at her feet & curse her!!!

I'd not go to the airport in OZ in a singlet either though!

I think it's a matter of common sense & Balimagic I know you said it was dressier, but covering armpits is still pretty important in Indonesia. Atleast they will know next time... I hope it didnt ruin their holiday?
