In no particular order

De Mi Mide Restaurant at GWK- This restaurant was one of the highlights of my last trip. I can't believe I hadn't been before. The view at night was unbelievable I have never seen Bali like this from a hill with such a lighting show. The food was very reasonable and enjoyable.

Warung Kartini (behind Sri Ratu = a family run warung - now the décor is 'how do you do' but the atmosphere with all the family - mum & the kids serving - dad cooking - oh how wonderful - 5 of us ate and drank and the bill was 130000. They gave us a 'complimentary omelet and a fruit platter'. The 5 of us loved the place, the food & the people. I think our tips outranked the bill.

La Lucciola I'm still not sure which is best the setting or the food. The memory of hash browns and lychee & Lime granitas, tiger prawns, green pea & chilli omelette with grilled sourdough and I also had sides of bacon, and sautéed mushrooms. I think I have tried almost everything on the breakfast menu. This is a favourite breakfast restaurant

Ma Joly's, another Di Fav although it is rather expensive (Bali standard) - the food is delicious and it is right on the beach with beautiful atmoshere.

And when in Ubud

"Cafe Wyan" & Bakery on Monkey Forest Road. The sound of the water flowing and ambiance of th egardens make this place special. Not expensive but very relaxing.

I should include Cat & Fiddle Sanur What a place - what entertainment - Just like a London pub - but draft Bintang and Guinness Pie wow!! gee Smudge I wish I were there now

and finally

Pica Tapas Bar & Churrasqueria Istana Kuta Galeria Centre. Oh boy!!! Love Spanish cuisine - Tapas by the mile there are 17 on the menu if you are really into Spanish this place is amazing for the menu variety. Vegetable tapas 15000, meat tapas 20000 and seafood tapas 25000. And the sangria well!!!! I wanted to sit there all afternoon 'slurping'- I am a sangria expert - well I like to think I am.
