Agree lollypop, a touch of paranoia there. Also I believe that the original post was in relation to being frisked leaving Bali not leaving Oz to go to Bali.
I did not find it obtrusive at all and felt that it was reassuring that at least they were doing something.
I don't think you can complain about lack of secuirty and then complain about the inconvenience.
