I would say don't take so much cash. A mob who stayed in the hotel I was in a few years back brought cash and lost it in a taxi! Once cash is gone, it's gone.
Credit cards are great for larger purchases, but use ones with lower limits where possible.
Travellers Cheques are probably safest but given the options probably not necessary.
We plan to take just a normal debit cards (with evenly spread money,) cash, credit cards. That way if god forbid something happens we can still enjoy the holiday!
