Whilst I appreciate the Govt. trying to make us aware etc. I disagree with what at times feels a bit like scare mongering. I was in Bali at xmas last year and am heading back in Jan. I love the place as you all do! I felt that the security situation had improved considerably- checking of cars and bags pretty much everywhere and especially at hotels, shopping malls and the like.I assume it it still like this now.
Given their efforts to make visitors feel (and be) safe I think it is a harsh warning and no doubt affects the visitor numbers to a beautiful- yet struggling destination.
They have had a rough trot over there. Its funny that a bomb went off in London around the same time and their advisory says "excercise caution."
