The Jetstar website shows that the minimum recommended connection time (in your case from other carrier to Jetstar) is 1 hour 45 minutes. So you should be OK IF everything goes according to schedule.

Can you change your Virgin flight to give yourself a bit more breathing space? Plan for the unexpected. You are putting a lot of pressure on yourself at a time when you don't need any more stress.

We are flying from the Gold Coast via Sydney. I just booked the cheap fares that went on sale yesterday (both Jetstar and Virgin for selected dates). I also chose Virgin Blue but we are going down the day before and will sleep the night in Sydney.

Haven't booked the return domestic leg yet - that's the one where you can never allow too much time. I have noticed that the Bali-Sydney flights have been arriving late - yesterday's was delayed nearly an hour.

Immigration and customs can take ages. Hope you have given yourself at least a few hours between flights on the return leg.

Enjoy your first OS trip - looking forward to a JBR.
