It's a Visa On Arrival. When you get off the plane in Bali, you will join the queue, hand over the equivalent of US$25 per person, receive a stamp and a sticker in your passport and that's it. You can pay in Australian dollars, or by credit card (but I believe it's considered a cash transaction, so attracts interest). Best bet is paying with Oz dollars, then getting some Rupiah in change to pay for your cab fare or the first Bintang.
