I am Les Williams who previously operated Golden Bali & Global Travel in Adelaide. I don't know where you got the idea that there were "people stranded" by my closure. EVERY CLIENT who booked through my agency received all services paid for except, naturally, those who lost money due to the Air Paradise collapse which actually cost my agency around $50,000! Those who had paid us by credit card and complained to their card providor that they had not been able to use tickets (many issued on advance purchase up to 6 months prior to collapse)were compensated by the banks simply "raiding" our Bank Account as they did to so many Agents and Wholesalers, even though the monies had long previously been forwarded to Air Paradise.

I really take personal offense that you chose to make this posting without knowing the facts! There was one person to my knowledge who posted desparaging remarks as he was waiting on a refund on a cancelled booking; I was not prepared to pay-out as we operated a Trust Account so could not technically do this until funds were received from the Wholesaler in question. There had been a problem in which a cheque was lost in transit and the moment monies were received, the client was reimbursed in full (less appropriate contractual charges).

Sadly, whilst this man was extremely zealous is posting negatives, there was NO retraction when his refund was received.

I chose not to sell my agency as its client base had been built over a period of 20 years on a level of personal service and I was reluctant to pass-on to anybody, my base of long and loyal clients to a third party.

Naturally, it is impossible to please every client but I am proud that many of my clients still stay in touch with me and meet me when they are in Bali.

If, however, you are in Adelaide, you could call Jetset Norwood and ask to speak with Josh Moore. Josh is a delightful young guy who is absolutely passionate about Bali - in fact Indonesia in general.
