Jbr 5...Bali Brumby 'THE Tailors'..
The business part of our trip was to try and get a number of 'Fancy Dress' Outfits made. My sister has a fancy dress/party hire shop here in Perth and she thought she would source having some of the outfits made up in Bali. Armed with pictures, photos, measurements and heaps of humour we headed off to Bali Brumby. The choice was taken off the forum recommendations and because it was close to the Green Garden Hotel where we were staying.
The outfits chosen to try and get done were Elvis Presley Eagle cape jumpsuit, Wonder Woman including Boots, Pimp coat and hat, Dumb and Dumber suits with frilly shirts and hats and Santa Claus including boots, belt and hat.
Elvis turned out great and thanks to Putu the eagle is great, our picture was a little small and each time we tried to get it larger it would pixel ate (blur) and was too hard to see, Putu drew it by hand and the embroidery he got done is excellent.
The Pimp coat was the best-made item, we had previously sourced the materials and prices and Bali Brumby went and purchased the material for us.
Dumb and Dumber suits were exact, the hats were a little wobbly, should have been more top hat type but they will suit.
Santa Claus came with 2 sets of boots one pair shiny and the other dull, these will double as pirate boots also.
Wonder Woman was the most fun. Putu went out of his way and over the top to try and get the right look. Numerous days were spent on getting the right 'push-up' to the bodice section and 3 tries to get the right drop in the skirt. The over the knee boots are skintight and really look the part.
The correct printing, embroidery and striping were all done most professionally. If anyone is thinking having something done that is a little different to the ordinary then give these guys a go.
We also had some 'normal' clothes made, shorts, trousers and shirts all great work and fit perfectly.
At Janoko Tailors we had Dr. Evil's suit from Austin Powers made and Austin Power's Blue and Maroon suits. These turned out great too but Janoko's were a bit too picky with their measurements and because we really needed one size fits a lot of different shapes for hiring the sizes didn't really matter. Again I have used Janoko's for 'normal' clothing and had no problems.
