Firstly, the word 'Java' actually means from elsewhere, not just Java.
Secondly, no culture ever appreciates people coming from elsewhere, doing the work they don't want to do themselves, and pushing prices up.
Thirdly, Java is SO close, and has such a lot of people. The Balinese must feel in danger of being swamped.
There is a long running history of people from one island in Indonesia not particularly likeing each other. This is not specifically just the Java/Balinese thing.
The whole independance thing is a joke, and a bad one at that. They imort EVERYTHING, from electricity, petrol to rice. Why would they ever imagine they could ever attain independance.
Now, to address your final line. What is judging an entire group of people by the race, other than racism? I'd suggest a reading of the dictionary. Sorry, but that's the difinition of racism.
