PErsonally, the reason I get so hot under the collar about it, is the amount of simple racism that gets accepted in Bali, pure and simple. IF you were to walk around saying, 'oh, so and so did something, you KNOW exactly what those .....(insert nationality) are like", you'd get howled down, rightly so. BUT apparently it's quite OK to make sweeping generalizations about the qualities of the Javanese.
At least stop and consider before you make statements like that.
I have been in shops where the shop owner has made a comment about my friends, and left the shop in disgust. Can you imagine the effect that sort of daily grinding down would have? Awful.
