Make sure you visit the hawker centres!! there are heaps around...
for cheap cheap food :)

EAST COAST PARK.. you will pass that on your way into town from Airport..its on your left side, there are heaps of seafood places to eat here... yummo and on the waterfront... looking at the ships at night is quite pretty with all the lights... and take a walk along the water front just watch out for the bicycles, and rollerbladers :)

Some other popular hawker centre places are ... CUPPAGE ROAD (right
in off orchard street near CENTREPOINT shopping centre) there is a couple of places
there where you can get Indonesian food.. such as YUMMY SATAY.. ;)
love it :)open air under huge sails for cover...

There is also Lat pat sar... (just pronounce it lar par sar... :) ) on SHENTON WAY its like an old train station... with another huge area for SATAY's but the satays just arent the same as indonesian ones.. they seem to put the spices on first before cooking them..

also seafood ... anything.. you can walk around and order from anywhere you want.. .they also have places with western food also..such as fish and chips, spagetti... chicken nuggets etc..

There is also China town in the evenings (get out of taxi at SMITH
STREET) however chinatown is undergoing renovations at the moment :)

Visit MUSTAFA CENTRE... its a 24 hour supermarket/department store, you can buy anything and everything here, there is two buildings..the old one and new one... all taxi drivers will know it.

CENTREPOINT .. is a place on Orchard Road.. there's a bus stop and
tourist infomation booth there as well, on the corner .. I think its the corner of Orchard Rd and Cairnhill street. anyway...this is the place to book
any tours that you would like to do.

From this tourist centre you will see across the street a HMV music store
sign... :) btw there are toilets in the building where HMV is..
ladies are on the second floor... :) nice and clean... I think the
>mens toilets are on another level...

Feel free to ask about anything you need to :) oh and TAKE AN UMBRELLA ..its been raining every day lately in Singapore (parents live there)

Also they mentioned that the night safari at the zoo isnt any good if its raining...because you cant see anything... !! they took the grandkids one night for the safari and they didnt enjoy it....

if you have any questions email me
