Be careful. we had ours chipped in bali and it cost us a chip and a laser!! all up around $150.00 aud. cost to us.
The chip was a cheapy that failed and the laser burnt out because opf faulty soldering .
They bought in a laser from Jakarta and wouldn't cop the cost so we came to an arrangement for the price but still shouldn't have happened.
This was done by a shop regularly mentioned and recommended on this forum!! The problem is he subbies the mods out to a guy in Denpasar and just blames him!!
I would recommend getting a mod done in australia that does not require a chip and does not void the warranty either.
It is called swap disc and your local mod guy will know about it.
It involves a disc that is booted before the game and boots the copy disc. The cover is modified so you can open it and change the swap disc for the copy game and play away! cheaper than chipping also.
the disc itself is around 45.00 aud plus the labour for the cover mod. around 30.00 aud.
