This happened to us when we stayed at the Adhi Dharma Hotel. We were a family of 5 and the price was around A$30 each (no discount for kids). We tried to get our agent to get us out of it but it was a hotel condition. For adults it was OK but the kids didn't get much variety. Big waste of money in my opinion. Our current hotel Camplung Mas does not make to pay upfront but do other it while you are there. It's only about A$12 each with meal/sweets and a free Bintang, raffle prizes and competitions which is excellent value
