my kids are 7 and nearly 9 and love waterbom, as we go there every time were in Bali. It's on the kids 'must do' list of things to do in Bali. It's also great for the adults as we enjoy it too. You can also have time out and get massages there as well from soul assylum, and the cabannas are very relaxing.
We got a voucher from a tour desk stall on the street near the BGH and the cost for entry was $15 US per Adult and $11 US dollars per child.
Your kids will have a ball at waterbom!
Regarding beaded thongs with heels; you can get them from majority of stalls that sell the beaded thongs and I paid about 35,000-40,000 rupiah for the ones with heels, without heels I paid about 20,000 - 25,000 rupiah.
