Lavina is about 3 hours from Kuta/Legian and is well worth it.
Close to Singaraja (old capital of Bali), well worth visiting.
Waterfalls and Hot springs are a place to visit (nearby).
Highly recommend using Jimmy Gorgeous - his village is not far from Singaraja and has excellent knowledge of the area.
Cost is $50 AUD for the day (approx 400,000rp) and 2% of all Jimmy's profits are given to his village. He will pick you up from your hotel at about 8am and you we will back by about 9pm - Jimmys' details below

If you are taking kids (or if you are a big kid yourself) get Jimmy to take you to Jimbarryn Bay - no charge if you eat at Sharky's and he gives you a free Magic show at the end of your meal (it will knock your socks off!)
