Hiring a scotter is a fun and easy way to get around. You will need an international licence as the cops regularly check and they want you to pay fines on the spot, very corrupt! They cost around IDR40,000 so you may have to haggle. There can be a lot of traffic but once you get the hang of it it is easy to get around, go for an automatic.
