I think anyone will agree that you don't go to Bali for the beaches. If that is a priority Thailand is far better.
I read a recent report with the figures. Bali bites itself sometimes doesn't it? Restaurant owners and Hotel owners pumping raw sewerage straight into the sea. You don't need to read reports, just use your eyes, it really is disgusting what is floating in the water.
If you're not a beach person Bali has it all over Thailand, most especially the people. Nothing really changed in 6 years, Seminyak more developed but still wonderful!!
