We travel extensively to both Bali and Thailand, and in fact have just returned from two weeks in Thailand. we spent 7 days in Bangkok and 7 in Pattaya. Pattaya is a beach resort like Bali and is very very laid back..It is howver somewhat sleazy as it has a lot of go-go bars. If you can learn to ignore them Pattaya can be a great holiday destination. We stay at the Siam BAyshore hotel and it is FANTASTIC...I can not recommend this hotel enough..
