We have been to Bali 6 times and only flown Garuda once. Service was not good. Drinks were hot and ran out, food was average.
Seats were broken (my wife had the guy in front virtually on her lap the whole way)
Take Off & Landing is almost VERTICAL (must be trying to save fuel!)
If you are flying out of Perth then it will be on a 737 - at 6.3 there won't be much leg room - ask for an exit aisle seat.
We prefer Qantas but then we normally are using FF Points, the one time we did pay it was the Garuda flight because they were cheaper
Have a good time
