I have never complained about the holidays (why would I) but I deserve them. On my days off (this weekend- and now) I am sitting at the computer writing reports for the end of the year. I'm writing this as I have break and getting a coffee. What do you do on your days off?
The disadvantages of being a teacher (other than the obvious) is that it's peak season whenever you have holidays. Peak season = peak prices.
If you want to go to Uni for 4 years and teach 30 kids a day go ahead. It's not as easy as it looks.
