Arrive at Ngurah Rai airport. Person supposed to pick us up din show!. Bad start already but got a cab to Pelangi Bali hotel in Seminyak for Rp60k. Lovely hotel. Small and cosy and not really a lot of ppl and stayed 2 nights in superior room. Lunch at hotel as we were starving. Had a nasi goreng and mie goreng at pretty ok prices. Took a cab out to look for our next accomodation which was either Uma Sapna villa or Villa Delapan. Had a nice long look at both villas and was simply lovely. Too bad in the end we did not stay in either one. Went to Made's warung for tea and walked around Seminyak's shops. Really lovely place and not crowded like Kuta.
Went back to hotel for a quick swim and later went to Kudeta for dinner. Kudeta was simply so lovely and such a romantic place. Food was good, service was allright but the decor and ambience was simply breathtaking. After dinner we moved to the beachfront lounges, had a few more drinks and desert. Heck, even Taksin had dinner there that night. Took a cab back after that but was simply memorable.
After breaky, took the free shuttle from the hotel to Kuta Square. Walked around and did some shopping for the folks back home and to satisfy wife's shopping urges. Went round shops in Kuta square, Matahari and later on to Centro. Good place for cheap t-shirts, slippers, etc has to be in the Kuta square area and did loads of bargaining. Was feeling a bit tired late on and cab it back to hotel for a swim and watch the beatiful sunset. After a shower, took a cab back to Jl. Legian for dinner at Macaroni. Saturday jam was bad and we hopped out at McDs and walked down. Pleasant walk and checking out the shops. Macaroni was a nice and stylish place and good pizzas and a place to chill out and check out the ppl passing by. Its just opposite the Bali bomb blast memorial. Anyway after dinner, just continue walking all the way to Hard Rock Hotel megastore and caught a cab back to the hotel. TBC...
