buy a house/villa/land etc in Bali. The large number of people who have been buying land etc in Bali over the past few years has had a significant impact on the lives of many Balinese people. A negative impact.
I'm sure you love Bali and want to spend as much time there as possible, but I don't believe that by buying a house there you are having a positive impact on the local economy. There are many beautiful places to stay long term and by doing so, you are contributing to the livelihood of many people.
