We stayed there in October for eight days and it was alright. I would not rave about the place. We were upgraded to a grand deluxe and while the room was huge the bathroom was small. Room service was very slack with food left on the table for three days - just wanted to see how long it was left there. The pool was pretty dirty too - very cloudy on most days. Occupancy when we were there was very low, with virtually no one there during the day.
The Sofitel is certainly not a five star hotel and needs to improve. I personally would not go back but the staff are just fantastic and makes up for the rest. Hope this helps.
