There must be a thousand stories out there of tourists (Australian or otherwise) behaving badly in Bali. I've seen some unpleasant things myself. But most of us are nice, genuinely interested, caring people who love Bali, and I'm sure the Balinese understand that, and that's why they want us to keep coming back. Some of us have formed real attachments / relationships with the Balinese, and most of us would behave no differently in Bali than we do at home. But there's always one or two who will give the rest of us a bad name.
I wish I'd been a fly on the wall for the mother/daughter screaming match. What a hoot! What a pair of sad gits.
