I am with HBF and they paid out for me on my Bali prescription, no problem. They will pay out once in each calander year. I got my eye test done here (free medicare) and took the script with me and got the glasses made there at Optik Tunggal in Discovery mall. All good no problems. All HBF asked for was a detailed receipt, in English. I found out later that they would have tested my eyes free in Bali but hey I'd rather waste time on an eye test here than on holiday.
However you should ring HBF just in case essentials cover is different from mine. There is a VERY big saving to be made.
