We just got back from Bali and booked a few tours thru the hotel and a few our selves!!
We found that it is sometimes cheaper just to take a walk out on the street and look at the tour companies and then play them off against eachother, we got much cheaper tours doing it this way then booking thru the hotel!! and got some bonus things thru the tour companies on the streets!(souvineers and special places the other tours wont take you to)
There are many tour operators and things everywhere trying to get business at this time as it not many tourists so you will be much better off taking a walk!! one of the ones we went thru is near the Dynasty hotel they are out the front of the supermarket next door!! They are great and cheap and will show you lots of great sights!
