After 3years of longing, we are returning in July-August 07 to Bali to visit relatives and our foundation. We'd like to pay a visit at the Pondok Vienna Beach hotel in Amed, but we heard that it has burnt ? How come ? Can anyone give us information about this ? What about the staff ? Anyone injured ? We wanted to say hello to a little boy, Putu Darma, we used to meet around the hotel (his dad sometimes plays music - and brings a bottle of palm wine - in the evening for the staff). How to find him now ?
We'll be with our extended family from France, and we have learnt that the Melka Excelsior Hotel at Kalibukbuk (Lovina) offers a saltwater pool with dolphins. Has anyone already tried this swimming with dolphins ? How was it ? Any comments ? Is it free or do you have to pay extra fees for this wonderful lifetime event ? We'll be with kids aged 6 to 9 and they can't wait to swim with dolphins.
We're looking for nice (and cheap (under 50 US dollars) accommodation on the Northern coast. Any nice cozy places on the beach to recommend ?
