It's a very simple process with visa on arrival. As dennisc has correctly informed you; that you do not need US$, you can use AU$ and get the change in rupiah.
You won't have any problem finding dvd's and playstation 2 games. Tip: Just check the dvd's in the shop to see if they work ok first.
The jayakarta is great, (we have stayed there before). Have a wonderful holiday in Bali. I'm counting down the days for our holiday in Bali - Only 8 more days for us :)
