Hi everyone just got back from 14 fantastic days . I want to get right back on that plane and return. Firstly before I forget, had the best driver. Stayed at Griya Santrian in Sanur, which by the way was an excellent hotel, the best and friendliest staff and I think the nicest place to stay in Sanur, lots of europeans, and Sanur very quiet, but beach girls not pushy, cheap massages, great restaurants, mostly ate along the beach front, different places each night. Oh yes, back to the driver. Wayan Wijaya, young guy, nice van with heaps of viewing out of the windows air con. His no is +6208155717330. took us up to Lake Bratan, I have been there many times, my friend's first time to Bali, he took us a different way to the other times, saw the real Bali, and back to Tanah Lot then home to Sanur for 300,000 rph for the day. Awesome trip, although very hot out of the car, did the monkey forest Ubud etc, included Petrol, Parking. The next day we just called him up and told him a price to take us to the green roller door shop for cheap wine, on the Sanur bypass road. Found it , near Macro , cheap wine, way cheaper than the shops, and you get a docket and go out the back and pick up your supplies and there cold, just like the local at home, went back another time, but their stock had run out, so got some diffferent ones, and also great. Stayed 6 nights in Sanur , also went with Wayan to Padang Padang, Dreamland, Ulluwatu, then to monkey temple on hill. Saw whales out to sea, just magic.
Then off to Kuta to Inna Hotel opposite Hard Rock. Stayed in a beachfront Bungalow, for 7 nights. What a magical spot, right on the beach , sit on verandah and talk to beach people, one second to the pool. Massages on the beach, cold cold bintang, and mixmax a vodka drink for 11,000. Ask for Sammy at his little beach bar, comfortable chairs, the coldest drinks and the beautifulest smile. We shopped in the mornings, rested by the pool the rest of the day , met some lovely people from Perth, dined at night and crashed early, up at the crack of dawn, walking along the beach, swimming, the surf was so nice and cold and clean.Forgot to mention, lots of wine on the verandah. Also cheap wine shop to the right from Bemo corner, good prices. We ate mostly at Swell's in Poppies one, the best chicken curry and so cheap and Nasi Goreng, great, and the Secret Garden in Poppies 2. Best fish and chips and salad. Salad bar at Pizza Hut for lunches, really full after smorgasboard breakfast , so not really hungry during the day. I think the most fun was had coming home each night on the back of a motor bike, just offered the local guys some money, jumped on the back for a hair raising ride home, but so exciting and lots of fun, especially after a few drinkies. Got on a bike from Kuta to Benoa Harbour, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran for the afternoon for 50,000 each., with the Tailor that made my jacket and boots. This guy is so good and the price was excellent,, he searched bali for the right pink for me, baby pink, lambs skin, soft and perfect, got the jacket made for aussie $100 and pink boots , I had a picture of ankle length, european ones, so different, he still has the picture, check it out they are awesome, anyway them and a one piece swimmers made for 400,000 rph. I am so happy with them. And he is just the nicest guy, kind of fell in love on the spot !@#$#$!

I just love Bali so much, my friend had never been overseas before, she just loved it, shes 62 , on the bike, laughing had the time of her life. It was really hot, but the weather was awesome, rained one night only. I have decided to go back every 3 or 4 months, life is too short not too. thanks for reading, cheers Annie from Gold Coast
