1. probably just as easy to get voa $us at the aiport you are leaving from and then you pay in $us dollars in bali
we have always done this

2. dvd's etc.....there are shops everywhere
we get from Bali Gong in Sahadewa st ( also know as "garlic lane")
it is virtually next door to "Billy's Bar" ( you will see the huge sign in the sky and a great place to have a beer and its the coldest in Bali)
at bali gong ask for dede (the owner) or chepi and they will advise you what to get
take the model no of your playstation 2 console and then you will be assured it will work
99% of dede's dvd's etc work when you get home
you will die when you find out how much they cost
just bring the covers and the dvd home and not the black plastic covers they come in
you have to take care of your weight
i usually throw them in a pack pack and take on plane
bring as many as you like
i usually get 200-300 and no problem in customs here (melbourne)
you will find places that are sometimes a little bit cheaper but that does not mean they will work
you can be assured that dede's do and he is not far from the jayakarta

enjoy your trip and have fun
