Booked through Ballivillas.com who have a really good website. It was a 4 bedroomed villa on Bukit hill overlooking Jimbaran Beach (in the distance). Aircon in each bedroom and living areas were open plan with beautiful furniture. The incredible value came from the fact that all food and drink was bought at the local stores by the villa cook and the driver. It worked out about £10 per head each day (for food and soft drinks) and our lovely cook produced wonderful food. We had an English speaking butler who organised all the money and receipts etc, 2 houseboys, a gardener and of course our driver and car (for 10 hrs a day). We had spa treatments at poolside. The pool was great and the lighting of the villa and gardens at night were so attractive. It only took a couple of days to be 'our' villa. The downside is that you have to have a car to get anywhere and cannot just walk out to the shops or bars. Also I would not recommend any of the villas for young children and babies as they all seemed to have a lot of water features. We went out each day and did whitewater rafting, sighseeing, shopping, beaches and the wonderful Kicak dance at the nearby temple of Uluwatu but each time we looked forward to returning to the villa. Hotels will never seem as attractive again. Hope you find somewhere as good.
