doubt that the reasons that you have stated new travellers steer clear of Bali,the tragic events of October 2002 and 2005 plus severe negative press here in Australia. Unfortunately there is corruption everywhere, at least in Bali they are open about it unlike our wonderful superpower leaders and their governments and after quite a interesting discussion with as political journalist last night you would not travel to many countries as corruption is everywhere and yes unfortunately in the third world countries where they need the most help.
