I have also stayed at the Tegal Sari and paid by credit card. I did not have to give the 3 digits from the back of the card but did have to send a copy of my passport. No problems, in fact, when I checked out I was given back the copy of the fax they had received with my details. I was very impressed. The hotel is terrific, in fact, I received an email of a bunch of roses from the hotel staff for my birthday. Enjoy. Cheers, Stormy
