We have booked with the Tegal Sari and were concerned like you. We booked and paid in full for next April. Gave full Credit Card details including the 3 digits on the back of the card.
I put the question to BTF. Specific to Tegal Sari, no one had a problem, one person cancelled and got a full refund with no problem.
A friend has booked with TS also and has been and come back - no probs.
I contacted TS and they were very considerate with me asking questions of them.
Do a search with my name and Tegal Sari in the Archives and have a look.
