Sorry guys, I had a brain drain yesterday, better known as writters block.
I thought I would give you a day to recover from the "Duck".
We did have a couple of uneventful days. That is if you can call a case of "Tightarse" disease uneventful!!
I am not talking about tight-arse as in money either. Not being 100% sure of where I got it. I really can't mention the name of the resteraunt. But we are 90% sure anyway, so we won't be going back there.
First time in 6 years, I couldn't complete walking along the beach with out answering the CALL (& I mean yelling) of nature.
Fortunately we have sussed out all the Loo stops along the way.
For quite a few days, I was only game to have a bowl of fries as a meal.
Saturday morning:- after watching the sun rise on the beach, it is back to the room.
Quick shower & I am going to do battle with that serong again.
This morning, we were asked to attend the early morning beach Ceremony for Shreks father.
No trouble with the serong this time
Don't ask a lacal, he may be lost too.
By geez, I have finally mastered the BL***y thing.
It really is quite easy, when you know how!!
Into a Cab & off to Shreks house.
The road is blocked at the end of his street, with what seemes 100's of people.
Out we get & search for his family.
There were about 10 families that had all combined their farewell ceremonies. I know there is a proper name for this, but again I have an overload of Ceremonial names, so to me it is a "Farewell Ceremony".
We have found the family & join the prosession, not quite sure if we should be right in there with them, or walk along to the side.
Along side was our choice. That way I could take pics.
It felt to us, that we had been accepted into the Temple members.
I have told the Mrs. "If I should die in Bali, this is the farewell I want". She probably wishes that it was sooner rather than later, lol.
The prosession ended at the beach, people everywhere, we lost our group, but later, found them further up the beach.
After their preyers & sprinkling of holy water, we watched the heads of the families take the ashes onto a boat & headed out to sea.
Their belief is, that life comes from the water, & so, when life has finished, the body must return to the water.
What a simple, but beautiful thought!!!
