We had a board broken on transit but were able to claim it on our travel insaurance, don't think you can claim just damage but this was in 2 pieces. We got the airline to write a letter stating that it was broken on arrival and we had the tag that you sign in Bali that states you are booking in a whole board, and we got a $550 which was the price that we had paid a few years ago. And we needed the receipt for the board.
