If parents are going try Sanur...very peaceful and layed back. Nice villas and great restaraunts and bars.
Here is a link for Golden Villas that are opposite Bali Hyatt resort. Had a cobber check them out for me just last week and he gave them his personal seal of approval and I respect his decision totally. Only built in 2003 and the one in the pic has two bedrooms with own ensuites and a seperate granny flat with ensuite detatched from main building with all overlooking the pool in your own yard. They have valet service and can arrange a maid or cook if you wish you can do it yourself. Very private and with security and gated.
