I was in Ubud once for the Galungan days through to Kuningan. Galungan Day itself, everything was closed, but then everything was open until Kuningan Day & I think quite a few things were closed on that day.
It is interesting to dress up & go to the Pura Dalem in Galungan morning. You might not be able to find a restaurant open outside your hotel for lunch. We found one place, but it depends where you are.
