Isn't it a bummer, 40 min flight to Jakarta, time in transit and then arrive in Perth at 6.30am. It will affect so many Perthites. You can get to the east coast quicker. I am planning to go in march so will go to the T/A tomorrow to get her to hold me a seat on the direct flights. I think they will be very popular, though as you said, who knows how long Garuda will keep this schedule. I am just hoping that the 1240 back will still have business class. I spoke to a Garuda sales exec about a week ago re if business class would still be available in March but he made no mention of the change in schedules. Not happy Jan.
