As Rex said, there is a good traditional market in Amlapura. We just jump on a local bemo. We pay 15,000rp for two, more than what the locals pay but thats Bali!
The shop that Rex mentioned for handy crafts has now moved to the other side of the street and up a few doors (the rent went up so she moved).
There is a tailor next to "Mr Grumpys" on the main drag near Vincent's Restaurant (they do a fantastic smoked salmon).
