A friend and I looked at this property in September. We were wandering along the esplanade and were taken by the pictureque gardens. Went in and had a look at a standard room. These were located at the other end, near reception at the Jalan Padma Utara entrance. I believe the deluxe rooms are around the beach end.
The grounds are beautiful, very peaceful. The room we looked in was fine. Nice large bathroom, big double bed, very clean and they quoted us I think around either 250K rupiah. That was without trying to negotiate as we were just looking.
I did a google search and found the link below with some photos.
I would happily stay there. The Niksoma is one one side and i think Puri Raja on the other. Neither of these 2 properties had the charm and ambience of the Marhata. Cheers :-) Replace the word dot with a fullstop . in the link below
