... just after we'd come back from Bali and what a shock to the system after Bali prices ;-) You are right about the airport transfers in LA - in the end we found it was cheaper to hire a car - we used this company http://www.deluxerentacar.com/index.html which was alot cheaper than the big rental companies and the cars were great. Driving in LA was very easy (everything well sign posted and the other drivers courteous) and it was neat to be able to cruise around :-)
