requirements used to be the same as for any other sick leave taken within the company. If you are normally required to 'phone up sick, then you should do so, and if a doctor's certificate and/or medical clearance is usually required, then that is what they can ask for. As I said, this may be a little outdated now, but companies never used to be able to request anything more for this sort of sick leave claim than they request for any other sick leave claim.
